Presentation of the department

The IT department aims to develop computer education and research.

The department has a human-scale team where all the normal students, civil servants and students, are provided with personalized support to enable them to assert their taste for the profession of teacher or researcher.

Students are bathed in a stimulating environment. Every two weeks, researchers come to talk about their profession with passion. Every year, visits to laboratories are organized. The department's ambition is to promote the diversity of students, whether in terms of gender, social background and theme of interest.

Students attend lectures in a variety of fields. The theoretical foundations of computing (logic, calculability, algorithmics, etc.) are addressed, as well as more practical aspects (architecture and system, programming, digital imaging, image generation), applied mathematics (signal processing, statistics, information theory), and openings to distributed systems, computer-enlarged computing as an educational tool.

The department promotes autonomy by relying on a pedagogy by projects in programming courses and numerous internships and immersion projects in research teams.
